Engine 944

  E-One Hurricane
  1988

Donated by Gulf Park Estates Volunteer Fire Dept, Mississippi

Named the "Heart of Hamilton Beach" by the New Hamilton Beach Civic Association to represent how proud we helped the community during and after the storm.

The great story of this truck is that of a Brotherhood.

After Hurricane Katrina destroyed the Gulf Coast,  Dale City VFD, Virginia who is the original owner donated the truck to Gulf Park Estates VFD, Mississippi who then years later donated it to us to help us recover from Hurricane Sandy.

Donated by Hooversville Volunteer Fire Department, Pennsylvania

This Truck was one of the first fire engines to respond to the crash of Flight 93 on September 11th, 2001.  It replaces our 1978 Mack CF which responded on 9/11 but was redirected to cover a FDNY firehouse before getting more than half way to the Trade Center and was damaged after Hurricane Sandy.

  Ferrara
  2002

Louisiana State Fire Marshal

"Spirit of Louisiana"

Ex - FDNY Engine 283

This Vehicle has an extensive history based in New York, after 9/11 it was sent to FDNY in order to aid in the catastrophic loss of vehicles.  After Hurricane Katrina, FDNY sent it back to Louisiana to help others in need.  It was sent to New York after Hurricane Sandy to help Long Beach Fire Department and now to help our department.

Once again a great thanks to the Terry Farrell Firefighter Fund.
