Sunday, January 15, 2012 WHBFD E946 responded to a verbal report of a car fire located at 160th Avenue and 102nd street to find a fully involved abandoned vehicle.

Tuesday, January 3, 2012 A947 was toned out for the report of Two pedestrians struck at Lefferts Boulevard and the Belt parkway. Upon Arrival no patients or incident was found. At the same time A947-1 with C941 and DC942 were toned out for a report of a four car MVA at the Belt Parkway prior to Erskine St west bound. A947 and A947-1 responded to find that the original ped struck was one in the same as the four car MVA. The accident involved 3 cars and a tow truck, while the tow truck was assisting two cars the third car crashed into the vehicles hitting the tow truck driver and one other person. 4 persons were transported to Jamaica Hospital via WHBFD and FDNY EMS.On Scene - WHBFD A947, A947-1, FDNY E331, L173, FDNY EMS C51, 51a3
Saturday, December 24, 2011 On Christmas eve, Jolly Ol' Saint Nick called the WHBFD for a little help delivering gifts to the families of Howard Beach. Santa always dreamed of being a firefighter and EMT if he hadnt become Santa Claus, he enjoys every minute that he is in Howard Beach.

Wednesday, December 7, 2011 A947 responded to the Belt Parkway for the report of a Two car MVA. Patients were transported to Jamaica Hospital.
Saturday, December 3, 2011 The crew assigned to A947 responded to multiple calls on Saturday Night, including an overturn which has become ordinary due to the Belt Parkway and a shooting which in the past has been unheard of in our area. The overturn involving two cars was located on the Belt Parkway under the Crossbay Blvd Overpass. All patients were transported to Jamaica Hospital. The shooting victim was originally shot and then was able to flee from the shooters who were in pursuit until the victim crashed his car on 155th Avenue and Huron St, where the shooters then fired more shots into the victim who was pronounced dead at Jamaica Hospital.
